Nishant has pursued financial inclusion initiatives in various reputed organizations over the last 8 years. Prior to joining Lakshya, he was with Jana Services in their Customer Insights Team involved in consumer and market research for Janalakshmi Financial Services, one of India’s largest MFIs. Nishant has also worked with MicroSave, an international financial inclusion consulting firm where he primarily focused on microfinance and digital financial services. He has a deep understanding of challenges faced by the underserved customers in accessing quality financial products.
Ashwin Philip Kurian
Ashwin is passionate about developing and scaling social ventures. He has comprehensive experiential understanding of building a vertically integrated business, to serve vulnerable populations. He values the touchstone experience of working with industry leaders who see beyond strategy and the seduction of activity to focus on the people and hidden fields that build up organizations for success. He therefore considersbuilding high performance, empowered teams as the accomplishment closest to his heart. He has worked across energy access, electric mobility, financial inclusion and food systems. He has brought to market over 12 products impacting a quarter of a million people, opening up3 rural consumer segments leading to the largest network of its kind in India.
Jesse van de Zand
Jesse has been with Enviu from 2010, and moved to India early 2013 to launch Janta Meals in Delhi NCR. After exiting the team of Janta Meals in 2016, he rejoined the Enviu India team early 2017, initially as venture builder and since 2018 as country director. Jesse is not one to sit still and full-heartedly dives into his ventures and activities.
Hence, when in 2019 the opportunity arose to start activities for Enviu in Indonesia, Jesse decided to move on. Having set up an excellent team in India, Enviu India could stand on its own and so since September 2019 Jesse found himself in Jakarta, working for Enviu Indonesia, eliminating the use of plastics in Indonesia.
Sonal Agrawal is a financial inclusion consultant with around nine years of experience working with microfinance institutions (MFIs), banks, government organisations, digital finance service providers and international aid organisations. She focuses on design and implementation of customer centric products and processes, develop prototypes for cashless ecosystems, design of financial capability programs for the microfinance institutions and digital finance service providers. Sonal previously worked with MicroSave, a global financial inclusion-consulting firm.
Michiel was raised to be an econometrician. He spent 20 years creating tens of millions of value for financial services companies and is now determined to create at least that value for underserved people.
Fennie holds an MSc in business administration from Erasmus University. She has worked in corporate banking and helped set up the first micro finance bank in the Netherlands, cofounded People’s Pension Trust, a company providing micro pensions for the informal sector in Ghana. Apart from Lakshya, she also supports replicating the micro pensions business concept from Ghana to Rwanda.
